Blending eco-efficient calcium sulfoaluminate belite ferrite cement to enhance the physico–mechanical properties of Portland cement paste cured in refrigerated and natural winter conditions

The acceleration impacts of calcium sulfoaluminate belite ferrite (CSABF)—a cement produced from industrial side streams—on the hydration and strength development Portland (PC) paste cured at ?5 °C with without pre-curing room temperature were investigated. eco-friendly CSABF content on setting time hardened properties pastes Freezing point amount freezable water (FW) decreased pre-curing. Hydration rate increased content. By adding an optimal content, compressive by 500%. effects subzero-cured highly dependent curing period. After 6 months, outdoor-cured 70%PC/30%CSABF gained comparable to that in 90-day-old pair continuous gain was detected up one-year. microstructural observations porosity results are consistent measurements.
